Love on the lake. For Brad and Sarah Jane, the water played a pivotal role in their love story. Brad grew up spending his summers lakeside, his parents met and fell in love on the lake (she was the pretty girl with the cool boat, Brad’s dad made sure to scoop her up quick!), so it seemed only natural for Brad and Sarah Jane’s love story to include the water.

“Co-worker’s” was the first title for Brad and Sarah Jane. Though Sarah Jane quickly knew that she wanted to be more than just co-workers when she met Brad, but he had a strict no dating in the workplace rule. They instead formed a strong friendship, and when they no longer worked together they made fast work of planning a first date. Plans were made and they enjoyed a beautiful rooftop dinner together at JCT Kitchen (an Atlanta fave!) And while the food and drinks we’re delicious, it was the ease of conversation that made the evening perfect.

After that first date, Brad and Sarah Jane were inseparable! Five months later, Brad told Sarah Jane he loved her on the porch at the lake house. And not long after that, Brad pulled of what may be the smoothest proposal ever! Like most weekends, they decided to head to the lake. Brad’s parent’s told a bit of a fib and let them know they were going to be a day late joining them on the water. Sarah Jane didn’t think a thing of it. When they arrived at Lake Rabun, she quickly gathered snacks and drinks for she and Brad to enjoy on a sunset cruise. As they laid on the back of the boat, Brad told Sarah Jane that this was almost the perfect day. “What would make it better?” She asked. That’s when Brad stood her up, dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him.

They celebrated with dinner at Hotel Rabun and were joined the next day by Brad’s parents and to Sarah Jane’s shock, her parents as well! Brad and Sarah Jane’s story is so sweet. Their loving and joyful spirits made our time together unforgettable. Also unforgettable, when they jumped of their boat into the water and the end of our session!
