Is there anything more magical than fresh snow? Coming off this holiday season, we can’t really think of anything better than a winter wonderland. We even had the opportunity to shoot a wedding during a real southern snow storm! But if you’re wanting some powdery goodness on your big day but are lacking the real thing, make some fake snow for your guests for perfect and festive photos!

Putting personal pieces together to create a wedding that is uniquely you is a great way to show your guests a little something special on your big day. Love dogs? Bring fido to the ceremony! Sports fan? Team colors can really get your guests cheering for you. Sci Fi enthusiast? How about a light saber exit? What ever it is that you and your partner want to spotlight at your wedding, as long as it is a reflection of you both, the quirkier the better!

Color Me Wonderful

The resurgence of bright colors into weddings has been so refreshing! While a clean classic look works for a more traditional approach, we love when brides and groom go bold with bright colors. Capturing color is one of our favorite things to do as photographers. It makes for bright and beautiful photos that stand out in a sea of white and grey. Add some fun into your recessional photos by having a confetti send off after your vows. Guests can participate with their own individual packets of confetti, or you can go straight for the confetti cannon for extra drama and flare!

Fly the flag! We said I Do! 

You’ve walked down the aisle, you have said your I do’s. Now it’s time to celebrate! Get your guests involved in your recessional by handing out colorful flags for them to wave as you walk back up to aisle as husband and wife! There’s nothing quite as festive as flags raised in your honor. Plus, guests can bring them to the reception to keep the party going!

There’s nothing quite like the fragrant aroma of flowers in the air. Have your guests toss some florals your way as you take your first walk as husband and wife. The more colorful florals, the better! Looking for a little extra aroma? Have your guests toss lavender. On a hot summer night, it will refresh your guests as you all make your way to the reception!
