Every classic romance story should include a ballroom. That might just be my opinion, but I think that Joel and Julie would agree. You may recognize this bride and groom from their amazing engagement session shot earlier this year on the Beltline and Piedmont Park! After their engagement photo’s, I knew Joel and Julie’s wedding day would be perfect parts classic and fun, just like them.
And what better place to through an elegant city wedding other than the Biltmore Ballrooms. Settled in midtown, The Biltmore boasts it’s classic architecture amongst some of Atlanta’s most historic buildings. From it’s manicured grounds, to it’s exquisite interior, The Biltmore is one of my favorite venues in Atlanta.
Joel and Julie’s story started with a sweet friendship.  After running into each other at a few work functions, they began to realize that maybe their friendship could be something more. Dating long distance for a while, Julie decided to make the move to Atlanta to be with Joel. When it came time to propose, Joel wanted to make sure everything was perfect. He decided to take Julie to an ice rink to pop the question. Unfortunately, the weather was not on his side. When Julie suggested they just call it a day and get out of the rain, Joel knew he had to quickly improvise. After a bit of a stroll, they came across a fountain. Joel asked a passerby to take a picture for them. He surprised Julie when he dropped to one knee and asked if they could share all of their rainy days together.
Just like their proposal, Joel and Julie’s wedding day was full of authentic, romantic moments. There was so much love for the couple from their families, it was felt in every moment. From getting ready at the Four Seasons, to dancing the night away at The Biltmore, Joel and Julie started off their marriage with a celebration we won’t soon forget!
