Here you will find some of the latest and greatest weddings I've shot with some seriously cool clients. I'll also be sharing useful tips & tricks I've figured out over the years in the wedding industry. Come join me!
If I could think of one word to describe Matt and Averi’s love story, it would be ‘blessed’. After dating in college, Matt and Averi decided to go separate ways in search of personal growth. It was during this time that Averi became very involved in her church. One day Matt messaged Averi, hoping they could reconnect. Averi encouraged him to attend her church. It wasn’t long after that Matt joined Averi on Sunday. And it wasn’t long after that that the two rekindled their love.
On their wedding day, Matt proved that chivalry is alive and well. Not only was he a gracious host to all their guests, but he took the time to make sure each of his groomsmen felt taken care of before the ceremony (providing whiskey for their nerves and tying each of his groomsmen’s bowties were 2 small things I witnessed while photographing the guys). Watching him serve others so well gave me a glimpse of the love that Averi experiences every day. But let’s not giving Matt all the glory. Averi was a breath of fresh air and had me laughing the entire day! She’s compassionate and giving, she laughs with her whole body, and she makes everyone around her feel seen and loved.
During their first look, Matt was in awe of Averi. He grinned from ear to ear as he twirled her around. I’m pretty sure the word “wow” was said 50.382,928 times by all of us! BUT, his reaction at their first look paled in comparison to his emotions as she walked down the aisle. THIS was the moment she would become his wife and nothing else in the world could compare to the feelings of that moment.
On her way down the aisle, Averi presented Matt’s grandfather with a yellow rose in honor of his wife that had passed away. To say there were tears shed would be an understatement. Y’all know I have a soft spot for grandpa’s because my relationship with my own papaw is so special to me. So, I cried crocodile tears. Good thing the wedding was outdoors and I could hide in the trees!
On their wedding day, the clouds gave the perfect amount of shelter from one of Georgia’s hot summer days. Friends and family gathered in celebration, proving Matt and Averi are truly blessed. They are such loving and wonderful people and I felt honored to be such an important part of their joyful day. I absolutely loved to be part of their story, I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for them!
