Here you will find some of the latest and greatest weddings I've shot with some seriously cool clients. I'll also be sharing useful tips & tricks I've figured out over the years in the wedding industry. Come join me!
I have the best clients. I mean it. They really make being a photographer so rewarding. Somehow I always end up with couples that love adventure. They’re always willing to think outside the box and know that jumpingĀ in a lake with their clothes on or getting stuck in a sudden rainstorm at the end of a session makes their photos unique. These are basically the things that keep me going, so to say I love my couples, ya, I really mean it!
Drew and Samantha are pretty much a dream duo. They love to travel, they love adventure and they really love wine! So it made perfect sense that they chose Montaluce Winery for the engagement photos. I have been dreaming of going to Montaluce for a long time now, so I brought along my husband for a little work/play date! Luckily for me, he’s a pro assistant and easy on the eyes.
Drew and Samantha both told me well in advance that they hate having photos taken. And even though they’ve been together for YEARS they only have a handful of photos to show for it. (Cue my competitive spirit.) But after a little coaching, they relaxed and just had fun, making for for the best photos. One thing that typically gets couples to relax is telling them to bust out their best dance move. Drew meant what he said when he told me, “I don’t dance.” I don’t even have a photo to prove how true that statement was because I was laughing so hard.
Just as the sun was setting over the mountain, my lovely assistant let me know that it was starting to rain. We didn’t even make it the few yards into the winery before the bottom dropped. We were soaked! Luckily, Drew and Samantha didn’t let a little (a lot) of rain get in the way of a good time. They quickly laughed it off and decided it was time to turn water into wine!
After we made it inside, we dried off and enjoyed a lovely wine tasting. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of wine. Or, I should say I wasn’t a huge fan of wine until I did this tasting. I guess I just hadn’t found my flavor yet, but if anyone wants to send me a lovely Rosetta or Chianti I would not be mad.
